Polymers |

Polymers are large molecules that have repeating unit that is replicated many times. This creates molecules that can have very high molecular weight. Depending on the chemistry structure such as the functional groups, molecular weight, net charge, etc., a product can be customized for a specific application. |

Gels |
 |
Preformed particle gel (PPG) is designed to treat injection wells. These small particles (< 1mm) when added to water will swell into soft particles to create a gel suspension that will block selectively fractures and high permeability "streaks" so as to make the post-treament injected fluids contact more of the matrix of the oil reservoir. This increases the sweep efficiency of the injected fluids post-PPG treatment and thereby increases the oil recovery and reduces the production of injected water and gas. |
