Mature Oilfield |

APPLICATIONS » Mature oilfields are those that have undergone extensive drilling and production, plus commonly years or decades of waterflood operations (secondary recovery). Typically such fields still have a rich oil target of two-thirds of the Original Oil in Place (OOIP), but low oil production rates. We have a series of products to enable the oil producer to implement chemical EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) projects that will be effective in increasing oil production. Instituting such a well-designed successful EOR program also will increase significantly the recoverable reserves and value of that oilfield property. There are literally hundreds of oilfields at a mature waterflood condition that can benefit from chemical EOR.

For a conventional chemical EOR project (Surfactant-/Polymer or ASP (Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer) the selection of the surfactant component is the key to having good oil recovery performance. ChemEOR has a series of surfactant products that are designed to have the required properties for these demanding EOR applications – ultra-low IFT (Interfacial Tension), low adsorption on the formation rock, compatibility with other chemical components and over a wide range of reservoir temperature and brine salinities. |

This series of high molecular weight water soluble polymers are designed to provide the required mobility in conventional chemical EOR projects. These will increase the viscosity of the injected chemical solutions to the target value at low product concentrations. The specific PolyFlood Ram product may be recommended based upon each customer’s unique requirement, dictated largely by the required brine salinities and reservoir temperature. |

| PolyFlood T-95 » |
This is a unique product that contains within its composition the chemistry of a polymer and a surfactant. These so-called surface active polymer products open a whole new range of possible EOR applications. If properly selected the PolyFlood T-95 product will exhibit both the desirable features of an EOR polymer and surfactant, and with greater efficiency than the mixture of the two individual chemistries. The PolyFlood T-95 has an inherent advantage of requiring only a single chemical EOR product, and thereby decreases the complexity of executing a chemical EOR project. |
