Regional Manager, Marketing and Sales (Covina, CA and Houston, TX)
ChemEOR (www.chemeor.com) is expanding the sales of oilfield chemical products in the well stimulation market. We are actively searching for successful sales professionals with a track record to fill the positions in our main office in Covina and regional office in Houston.

This position will work closely with the our Operations, Technical Support, and R&D teams to grow existing business, create new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales targets while increasing customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generate new and repeat sales
  • Develop and execute sales plans
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations
  • Promote our core products along with private-label products
  • Recommend alternative products
  • Collaborate with Business Development to develop criteria (effectiveness, cost, regulations, etc.) for desired new products
  • Participate in market introduction of new products
  • Assist in label and literature development
  • Interface with Business Development, Quality Control, Operations, Purchasing and other departments regarding R&D product development and support
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analyze situations and respond in a timely manner
  • Write reports detailing product sales, customer services and marketing strategies
  • Develop product knowledge and sales skills to accomplish the above

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering
  • 5+ years progressively responsible experience in marketing and sales of oilfield chemical products to pumping service and production operating companies
  • Excellent phone presence and verbal skills
  • Business development and planning expertise
  • Ability to negotiate, prospect and create/maintain relationships with clients and other businesses

Reservoir Engineer (Covina, CA)
Well Stimulation/Conformance Control/Enhanced Recovery

This Senior level Engineer responsibilities will include conducting and directing integrated reservoir studies employing compositional simulation to assist in the design and management of chemical IOR and EOR projects. Also will coordinate and direct fluid and rock property acquisition programs and integrated reservoir description programs designed to provide the geologic model employed in the simulation models. Product Manager (Covina, CA)
Oil Field Chemical Marketing

The Product Manager will primarily be responsible for product management, new product development and technical support for an assigned Energy Services group or groups. The Product Manager will establish and implement overall objectives and strategies for a market or market segment and actively participate in the development and commercialization of new programs through the Stage and Gate process.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Leads/coordinates marketing campaigns/surveys, advertising programs, technical literature creation, product demonstrations and field trials.
  • Provide analysis of program performance, pricing, raw materials, customer inventory and facility utilization.
  • Identifies and directs new market development for existing or prospective programs.
  • Develops and maintains key contacts with Nalco and key customer organizations.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably a technical degree (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering) or related business/marketing degree.
  • 1-3 years experience in sales or research and 3-5 years experience in marketing required.
  • Industry related (chemical, oil, gas) experience preferred.
  • Prior Demulification and Water Clarification experience is ideal.
  • Well defined and demonstrated prior on-the-job communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills required.

Chemist I / II / III (Covina, CA)
Product Development and Formula Development

The positions Chemist I, II, III will be primarily responsible for formulation and development of a variety of products incorporating ChemEOR’s proprietary and patented SurFlood and PolyFlood technologies. Additionally, this position will improve, reformulate and reposition current products; review new and/or existing product formulations and identify new areas of opportunity; investigate competitor product composition, performance, and market advantages; identify performance and quality standard requirements of products in development and support efforts of continued compliance with EPA, REACH, and various other regulatory requirements. The candidate must also be able to drive new product claims, benefits and aesthetics by developing unique formulations, processing techniques and test methodologies within a team environment. Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, charts and graphics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the development of a variety of products including chemical based cleaning/​disinfection products. Requires in-depth knowledge of surfactant, builder and emulsion chemistry.
  • Designs experiments and tests to compare formula and products to product criteria and competitive products.
  • Keeps abreast of new raw materials, competitive products and intellectual property.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing to develop criteria (effectiveness, cost, aesthetics, regulations) for desired new products.
  • Develops formulation processes; tests formula against performance criteria and competitive products; prepares sufficient product for internal and field-testing.
  • Effectively participate in scale up and market introduction of new products.
  • Assists in label and literature development.
  • Analyzes batch problems; determines corrective action.
  • Works with Quality Control to eliminate batching and production problems.
  • Provide technical support to field sales and service personnel with respect to product application, product efficacy and troubleshooting.
  • Researches technical questions.
  • Interfaces with Sales and Marketing, Quality Control, Operations, Purchasing and other departments regarding R & D product development and support.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and analyze situations and respond in a timely manner.
  • Write reports detailing chemical characteristics and cost information on product improvements.​ Maintain product files to detail the development of the project.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master of Sicence or Ph.D degree in Chemistry and at least 5 years progressively responsible experience in R & D activities.
  • Ability to generate new and creative approaches to new product development and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects, set objectives and identify resources/processes to accomplish goals.
  • Familiarity with MSDS and applicable regulatory entities
  • Government grand proposal and patent application experience preferred.
