Improved Waterflood |
» Conformance Control
» Damage Removal |
A large fraction of the world’s oil is produced in mature waterfloods. These oilfield operations are characterized by low oil production per well and ever increasing WOR (water-oil-ratio). ChemEOR offers chemical products to apply at the water injection wells to plug selectively high flow zones and divert injection water into are as not yet swept by injection water. Other ChemEOR products can remove formation damage in depth, and so offer another method to increase oil recovery. |

Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) |
» Mature Oilfield
» HT / HS Reservoir
» Fractured Carbonate
» Heavy Oil
» CO2 Flood |
DOE estimates that in the U.S. alone there is an estimated 377 billion bbl of oil remaining suitable for EOR. This rich target represents approximately 2/3 of the original oil in place. ChemEOR not only can provide surfactants and polymers for chemical EOR for conventional light oil targets, we focus on products for chemical EOR for several novel reservoir types. These include chemical EOR methods for high temperature and salinity, fractured carbonate and heavy oil reservoirs, and products to improve the sweep efficiency of carbon dioxide floods. |

Well Stimulation |
» Unconventional Gas
» Acidizing Fluid |
Methods to stimulate hydrocarbon production by treating individual wells have been practiced for decades. But there are still opportunities to improve the chemicals in these treatments to further improve well performance and at a lower cost. ChemEOR provides chemical additives essential to good performance of hydraulic fracturing treatments, especially for the newer and growing industry of extracting natural gas from unconventional reservoirs. Even for the mature technology of acidizing ChemEOR has additives such as better non-emulsifiers. |

Deep Water |
» Flow Improvement
» Wax Control |
Deep water production demands trouble-free flow of fluids subsea, especially in long tie-backs and pipelines. ChemEOR offers several chemical products to meet this exacting demand. Including our flow improvement additives will decrease sharply the viscosity of thick liquid emulsions, or decrease the power requirement to pump injection water over long distances. We address the critical need to prevent oil forming into a solid gel at cold temperatures and also prevent the build-up of a wax deposit onto pipe walls that will restrict fluid flow |
